About the Artist
Blake Kimmel
Blake Kimmel is a Denver based graphic designer, illustrator and digital artist who has been creating images since 2004.
Developing his skillset in a time before the ubiquity of stock graphics databases and artificial intelligence, Blake works in digital design softwares that are growing nostalgic.
Cutting his teeth on Adobe CS3, he has continued to find a balance between clean, vector elements and creativity translating his work into painting on wood and Giclée printing processes.
The work that you will see from Kimmel is entirely artificial intelligence free, and is a celebration of the end of the golden age of computer assisted art. We look back on a time when the software served the artist, as a tool to make ideas come to life, as opposed to it copying every human generated technology and image with terrifying efficiency.
